How does a laundromat work? Your step-by-step guide to Washpoint

Are you about to make your first visit to the launderette or would you like to know how the process works here in Stuttgart? Don't worry!

Doing laundry at Washpoint is as easy as doing it at home - only faster and with professional results. Many of our customers ask themselves at the beginning: „How does a launderette actually work and what do I need to bear in mind?“ The answer is simple: our modern checkout machine guides you intuitively through the entire process, and our machines do the rest almost by themselves.

In this guide, we show you in three simple steps how to professionally clean your laundry with us and save time and nerves in the process.

Particularly practical: Our system speaks your language! You can switch between German, English, Italian, Turkish, Russian choose. This makes laundry day child's play.

The washing process: 4 steps to clean laundry

Whether it's the quick everyday wash (7 kg) or the XXL machine (18 kg) for comforters - this is how you start your wash cycle:

Choose a free machine, load your laundry and close the door firmly. Make a note of the machine number.
Go to the automatic pay station, enter your machine number and select your desired program (e.g. 40°C or 60°C).
Pay the amount in cash or with your discount card.
Go back to the machine and press the green start button. Done!

Drying: fluffy results in record time

Our 20 kg large-capacity dryers get your laundry ready for the wardrobe quickly and efficiently:

Place the wet laundry in a free dryer.
Select the dryer number and the desired runtime at the machine.
Pay at the machine and press the temperature button directly on the dryer (40°, $60^\circ\text{C}$ or 80°).

Detergent: bring it with you or buy it conveniently

The choice is yours: use your own detergent or buy it directly on site:

Select „Detergent“ on the touchscreen. A cup is automatically filled for you.
Simply pour the detergent into the compartment at the top of your washing machine.

Tip You are welcome to bring and use your own detergent and fabric softener. This way you decide which products are used for your laundry!

The discount card: wash & save

Our customer card is ideal for anyone who regularly washes at Washpoint in Stuttgart:

Buy card - Select „Buy discount card“ at the machine and pay unique 5,00€ deposit.
Remove the new card from the output tray.
Insert the card immediately back into the machine and insert the desired amount. The card will be topped up directly with your credit.
From now on, you can pay for all machines and dryers simply by inserting your card and save money in the process.

Note on returns: It is not possible to pay out the credit. The discount card can be conveniently returned at the ticket machine as long as there is no more than €1.00 remaining on it.
